I have always loved the feeling of pride I get when I start a project and see it done well, whether it be in the craftsmanship or accomplishing the goal of the project. This pride in my work motivates me. It was in college when I had the opportunity to frame houses with a group of high school friends that I discovered I had a passion for construction. I took every opportunity to gain experience in the field, working for Mulkey Landscaping, Colston Contracting, Rome/Floyd Parks Department and Guest Properties. When I graduated from Shorter University, I started my own business, Will Pinson Properties, Inc., building new homes and doing residential and commercial renovations. In 2011, I joined Pinson's Inc. under the ownership of Jim and Bill Pinson, and in 2019 I purchased assets and created Pinson’s Construction. I now have more than 20 years of experience in construction and project management, and in this time serving the Rome area I have learned that it is in the building of relationships that a community is constructed.
I have always been interested in construction, and since my entry into the field I strived to acquire as much knowledge and skill in commercial and residential building as I could. I worked with Jimmy Smithson of Smithson Builders for 20 years, focusing on job estimation, project management, and team leading. I discovered my intrinsic desire to create quality work that goes beyond our clients’ expectations. After Smithson retired, I began working at Pinson’s, Inc. as the Field Superintendent and later as Project Manager. After forty years in the construction industry, I now use my expertise to manage projects, assess technical issues, and guarantee precision and organization from the beginning to end of an assignment, as we're driven to produce the highest quality end-product possible.
I have been in the construction industry for over 45 years. During this time I’ve worked on numerous large projects all over North Georgia including the construction of the cooling towers at plant Bowen as well as buildings at Image Carpet, Marglen Industries, and Berry College. As a master carpenter, I have lead carpentry crews through the finishing of exceptionally detailed architecture and woodwork across homes and buildings, one of which is the renovation of the historic St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rome, Georgia. As superintendent I am on the job site daily, supervising our field team and managing project sites. I oversee communications and build advancement, ensuring our team is working quickly and efficiently.
