Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church needed more room for the increasing size of their congregation. Their vision encompassed more space for gatherings and fellowship, presentations, classes, and added facilities.
Pinson’s constructed the already existant church main buildings, so when the church found that they needed to expand in 2016, they called on us again. We commenced by reconfiguring the blueprints they had in hand to better suit their needs and fit their project budget. The collaboration called for an expansion of the current facility, requiring a two-story structural steel building constructed with both steel and concrete. This expansion provided for a second floor mezzanine of 12 new classrooms as well as a covered drive-through porte cochere to protect visitors on entry from inclement weather.
The selection of materials was carefully weighed; our design opted for a metal stud exterior, brick veneer, and EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish System) synthetic stucco to ensure quality, durability and for the design aesthetics. Within this expansion, we also coordinated the installation of a new elevator and commercial kitchen. Pleasant Valley North answered the call for their growing congregation. Their 23,277 sq ft expansion added space and functionality that was much needed and brought welcome to the community.
