Marglen Industries, a manufacturing company specializing in processing post consumer soda bottles into clean, sustainable fiber and resin, selected Pinson’s Construction to design and build a 19,200 sq. ft. expansion to their existing facility in 2020, providing added industrial space to house their newly purchased equipment line needed to process plastic.
Pinson’s collaborated with structural engineers to design and place the new concrete foundation and slab to support the new 60’ tall pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) expansion and to maintain structural integrity under the load of heavy machinery. The logistics of the expansion were complex due to the size and location of the build in relation to Marglen Industries’ existing structures which we approached with detailed planning.
We configured site drainage and utilities to specifications for the new machinery, installed cranes for Marglen's use and coordinated with the system’s mechanical engineers throughout equipment installation. The project also included new office space and reconfigured parking to better suit the functionality of the expansion. With the expansion complete, Marglen was able to meet the needs of their growing customer base.
